Overall improvement in completeness and enhancement of usability was needed.

The client has identified a need for overall improvement in completeness and usability enhancement. Key issues include an inconsistent tone and manner, an abundance of duplicate information disrupting the user flow, and unclear entry paths for certain features. To address these concerns, it is proposed to clearly define the purpose of each information/UI element while eliminating unnecessary details, create a cohesive look and feel with uniform illustrations and images, and thoroughly check and redesign the entire access path for a more intuitive and streamlined user experience.

  1. Visual System Construction

  • Enhanced the design from being text-centric to focusing on images and illustrations, improving information delivery and completeness.

2. Menu Structure Organization

  • Reorganized the bottom menu according to the frequency of access, and removed menus that were ambiguously defined or not important.

Key Screens

Chat

  1. Collapsible Chat Window Interaction

The scenario focuses on users showing their Hanok (traditional Korean house) via camera and communicating through voice, with only some documents exchanged via the chat window. Therefore, instead of emphasizing the chat window at the bottom, the focus has been shifted to the entire camera screen, reducing the importance of the chat window.

  2. Call Termination Button Positioned at the Top

The chat screen button and the call termination button were located in similar positions, leading to accidental call terminations. To prevent this, the call termination button has been placed at the very top.

SUMMARY

We developed an app and administrator page for a nationwide local government Hanok repair and maintenance service. There were issues with the completeness and usability of the previously designed app. After analyzing these issues, we identified improvements and revamped the UX/UI. Based on this, we designed the administrator page(CMS).
